Research Highlight: Connective tissue repair and communication cells

Research Highlight: Here us a paper from 2017 that provides an overview of telocytes.

Research into what telocytes are and what they do is still in its infancy, essentially these are mechanosensitive cells that contribute to cellular repair and remodeling. In this post I wanted to highlight a paper that provides an introduction and overview of telocytes and the possible implications for manual and movement therapists. 

I will be following this line of research as it continues to come out and will report on it.
